That's it! Jason and I have decided we are taxi people. If the bus doesn't directly go where we need it to, I'm not getting on. No more of this, "let's ride until this stop, get off and catch this bus to here, then take this bus to there." Not me, no sir, no way. I'm a taxi girl, thus Jason likes taxis, too.
Hannah has requested I show pictures of our food. She is right. We have taken more pictures today of ordinary stuff. You will see our food, the bus system, Jason and the bus map, me waiting on Jason and the bus...etc. Should be entertaining to all.
Today we went to the Sistine Chapel. It was VERY crowded and much smaller than I pictured it. You have to go through the Vatican Museum to see it. That meant more old stuff. Then lots of stairs and people. After herding through, you get to the end and it is small. Well, not really small, but I go to North Point. It is very small compared to one of our worship areas.
When we got done with that, Jason tried to navigate us through the city to Travestere. There is a restaurant I wanted to try and a shop I read about. That is when I decided I was a taxi girl through-and-through. Jason gave in after I pushed him off a bus. Just kidding, Janice....I just yelled at him and shoved slightly. No scratches.
The Taxi took us straight to the door of the restaurant where we had great authetic Roman food. See picture. Jason wants to take a taxi back before we leave. What you see in the picture is gnocci with meat sauce and a plate of meatballs. Gnocci is like balls of pasta. It is very good and very filling. Thursday is Gnocci night in Rome. Everyone serves Gnocci (pronounced no-she). The picture is of my plate AFTER I ate what I wanted.
Tomorrow we are going to Viterbo. I am looking forward to leaving the city for a bit. That is all for now! (and I was looking at graffiti when I learned to spell chow so...) Ciao bella!

Uncle Stephen says the children are doing great. He locked them up last night, and they both got out. OK...he thought he locked them up. They miss their Mommy and Daddy. LY!!!
Did your grandma really post that?!?! Or is that "grandma" to the dogs?!? (even my mother refers to herself as grandma to the dogs...how, ummm...ok, I'm not going there in a public blog...I love you Mrs. Hall!)
Ok, back to the point...I LOVE the pictures! This is what I want to see! Now I know what Roman food looks like! That's a lot of food and wine you have there, my friend. Classic picture of Jason too, by the way...confused look is priceless, and exactly what I pictured in my head. You should take some of the locals too, I'm sure they wouldn't mind, and you can do it discreetly. Of course, now that I'm just now writing this, it may be too late, I have no idea when you're coming back. Maybe you can find an English speaking local to explain the buses to you?? I know, the taxis are just easier. I tend to go for the adventure in the buses but that's where that spontaneous adventurer who thrives on the lack of planning shines through. I know, polar opposites we are... :)
