Key West Day 6

Today was a beautiful day! We got up and went to the beach. I snorkeled a little more. We then relaxed in the pool a bit. After drying off we visited Kelly's for happy hour and dinner. Mmmm....shrimp and gritz! Then we hit up Sloppy Joe's for the Hemingway Contest. Soon after, it was time to go back to the beach to catch a gorgeous sunset. Now it is almost time for bed. We had to leave in the morning :(

Key West day 3 and 4

Day Three we went to the beach in the morning. The water is sooo warm! Right when we were leaving to go to lunch, it started pouring down rain! We biked from the beach over to the restaurant. We were soaked! We had a great Cuban meal and waited for the rain to die down. When we came out to get on the bikes they were half way under water! The rain was knee high! So we pedaled back to the room. After hanging out in the pool, we walked down Duval some more and ate dinner at Sloppy Joe's. Not many pictures because of all the rain :(

On the fourth day we went to Dry Tortugas on Garden Key. We walked around the fort and snorkeled. It was amazing!

Postcrossing Visitors

my dogs: Sam, Elephant and Chicken
My husband and me

Hi! Welcome to my blog. Feel free to check out my life :)

I'm 29 years old. I live in Savannah, GA near the beach. I'm married with three little dogs. We have a boat we like to travel around the islands on. I work with the local sea turtle project. We help watch the nests and make sure all the babies make it to the ocean. I am also a photographer for the local newspaper. You can see some of my photos at www.elephantboots.etsy.com . I love to read, love to travel and love being outdoors. Send me some photos of yourself and your life! Have a great day!

Last blog for trip 2008

Sorry we had a few days of downtime. The last few days were a bit of a challenge. We had some medical problems, my laptop was stolen, Paris wanted to keep us longer and my luggage continued on to Canada.

We are very glad to be home. We can say, without a doubt, we LOVE where we live. We know for sure God intended this life for us. It didn't make sense, and some of our friends still feel it doesn't make sense, to move hours away from every one we know. But we know for sure that this place is included in our purpose. That said....

We had a great trip. We have many memories and lots of laughs. A few weeks have passed and we can see beyond all the chaos from the end of the trip. We may actually even miss Stephen. Maybe :)

My favorite memory? There were so many. I really enjoyed walking around the markets. Whether Camden Lock, Portabello Road, Monte Montre (I know I didn't spell this right, but I don't feel like looking it up), or the thrift stores in Dublin. I thought we really got to see the culture of the towns. I enjoyed being more relaxed in Paris this time around. Since it was my third time, I could stop and look around.

Here is where I will turn it over to Jason. Thus far I have more than dominated the blog. Thank you for following and I love you all! ~miki

Martello tower. James Joyce lived in this tower for some time. Tybee had a martello tower. They were set up as a quick form of defence for ports. Howth was Irleland's largest port until recently.
